WORD FOR TODAY. CJM

WORD FOR TODAY. CJM “The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away” Psalms 90:10 Threesome and ten equals 70 years. Man’s lifespan had been shortened during the writing of this psalm – to just about what it is today. Man’s life could be extended to 80 years and beyond but with ‘aches and pains’ that comes naturally with getting old. Then you… Read more WORD FOR TODAY. CJM

WISDOM MOMENT

WISDOM MOMENT Proverbs 24:7 “Wisdom [is] too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.” Wisdom is a gift from God. Wisdom and Godliness go hand in hand. A fool is so busy being foolish that he does not even pray and seek wisdom. The wise could even counsel the fool, and the fool would not realize that it was good counsel. WORD FOR TODAY. CJM And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23 A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ. In order to follow the Lord, a person must be willing to renounce the self-life, which is produced by one’s own sufficiency. Then, that person must agree that such a self-produced life deserves to be judged and separated from God. Finally, everything that is needed for godly living must be… Read more WORD FOR TODAY. CJM

WORD FOR TODAY. CJM

WORD FOR TODAY. CJM “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” Psalms 42:11 It is not unusual for even the most spiritual people to have their days of doubt. Moses, on one occasion at least, was overwhelmed by his circumstances. After he had listened to the constant complaining of the children of Israel, he basically told the Lord, “I’m fed up. Just kill me. I… Read more WORD FOR TODAY. CJM
