FYI: The three-fold nature of man/woman

FYI: The three-fold nature of man/woman.Which one are you?

1. The NATURAL man.
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”  1 Corinthians 2:14

The natural man is simply one who is an UNBELIEVER, a SINNER, one who hasn’t accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. He cannot receive spiritual things because he doesn’t understand the WORD of God. The Word is foolishness to him.

2. The CARNAL man.
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you ENVYING, and STRIFE, and DIVISIONS, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? ” 1 Corinthians 3:1-3

The carnal man is born again but is still CONTROLLED BY HIS FLESH. Still an immature babe in Christ and some have been in church for 20 years or more. These cannot handle the MEAT of the WORD.

Paul lists the works of the flesh in writing to the Galatians.

  – Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

  – Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

  – Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. .

3. The SPIRITUAL man
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:1

One who is led by and is WALKING in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16).

The Spiritual man loves the Word of God and will try to restore those who weak in the faith. Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness;considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
