FYI:  Christians ARE Saints

FYI: Mother Teresa was just crowned a ‘Saint’ by the Pope some 19 years after she died. Thank God for sending Jesus. You and I don’t have to wait until we die for some man to make us a saint. The second that you accept Jesus Christ into your heart according to Romans 10:9,10, you become a SAINT THAT MOMENT.
Let me explain:

The root word of the word saint corresponds to the Latin word sanctus which means “holy“ or “sacred.” Thus, someone who is sanctified is “set apart for holy use.” Christians are made holy by the atoning work of Christ at Calvary on the cross. They of themselves are not holy, but ONCE they become saved, they are SET APART for HOLY use by God and that is to GLORIFY God and share the Good News with those who are not yet saved.
The New Testament uses the word saint or saints 67 times. In every instance, the reference is to ALL BELIEVERS..

“Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be SAINTS, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:..”

2 Corinthians 1:2
